吉武高木遺跡は、西に飯盛山（いいもりやま）、東に室見川（むろみがわ）を望む地に営まれた弥生時代の大規模な遺跡です。現在は「やよいの風公園」として整備されています。
　弥生時代中期（約2,200年前～2,000年前）の「クニ」（地域的なまとまり）の成立と展開を知る上で特に重要な遺跡として、 平成5（1993）年に国史跡に指定されました。なお、吉武高木遺跡の出土遺物は国の重要文化財に指定され、福岡市博物館に展示されています。
＜やよいの風公園＞
　吉武高木遺跡内に平成29(2017)年4月にオープン。2.7ヘクタールの敷地に当時の地形や植生を復元し、出土した銅剣・鏡・甕棺（かめかん）などの実物大のレプリカを展示しています。
コスモスの名所として、毎年11月にはコスモス祭りが開催されています。

The Yoshitaketakagi Ruins is a large Yayoi-period archaeological site situated on ground overlooking Mount Iimori to the west and the Muromi River to the east; today the area has been developed as “Yayoi no Kaze Park.”

Recognized as particularly important for understanding the formation and development of “kuni” (regional polities) in the Middle Yayoi period (about 2,200–2,000 years ago), it was designated a National Historic Site in 1993. Artifacts excavated from the Yoshitake-Takagi Ruins have been designated National Important Cultural Properties and are exhibited at the Fukuoka City Museum.

Yayoi no Kaze Park
Opened within the Yoshitake-Takagi Ruins in April 2017, the 2.7-hectare park restores the terrain and vegetation of the time and displays full-scale replicas of excavated items such as bronze swords, mirrors, and jar coffins. It is also known as a cosmos-flower spot; each November a Cosmos Festival is held.
