博多に伝わる、博多人形や博多織といった伝統工芸を紹介する施設として、平成23年にオープンしました。令和7(2025)年より、福岡市博物館から博多区承天寺通りに移転しています。館内では工芸品の展示のほか、販売や体験も行っています。

Opened in 2011 (Heisei 23) as a facility introducing traditional crafts handed down in Hakata, such as Hakata dolls and Hakata-ori textiles. From 2025 (Reiwa 7), it has been relocated from the Fukuoka City Museum to Jōtenji-dōri in Hakata Ward. In addition to exhibitions, the museum offers sales and hands-on craft experiences.

Opening hours: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (last entry: 5:30 p.m.)
Closed: Wednesdays (if Wednesday is a holiday, the next weekday), December 29–January 3
Admission: Free (fees apply for workshops, etc.)
